Sale of Cebu Site Postponed

Posted March 30, 2011 by headhopper and filed under sale, cebu

On March 5, 2011, I announced that I was divesting my Cebu, Philippines, portal, Wa'y Blima! Cebu. This site was scheduled to be divested before the end of this month, along with sister site Cebu Hotels Directory.

However, the tsunami which hit Japan has in a teensy weensy way hit LocustSwarm, in that traffic from Japan to the Japanese version of Wa'y Blima! Cebu has diminished considerably.

This site which has been rock-solid since 2005 has been rocked, by the strongest earthquake to hit Japan since recorded history. Now, with traffic and revenue significantly dimished, would obviously not be a good time to put it on the market.

Of course, the earthquake's effect on LocustSwarm is negligible compared to the devastating havoc it wreaked on people in Miyagi Prefecture.
